Shekinah

  • 90 cm x 70 cm x 3 cm
Shekinah refers to the manifestation of the divine presence within the earthly realm, embodying the moment when the unseen takes on a tangible form. In this work, the figure is represented through an ornate mask rather than a revealed face, marking the threshold between what is visibleand what remains concealed. The mask is inspired by one of the earlier photographic works. Flanking the central figure, the Victoria crowned pigeons appear as witnessing and protective presences. Their rarity and striking appearence reinforce the sense of a sacred space, while the dominant blue tones evoke intuition and inner awareness. The gold ornamental patterns merge ideas of power and sanctity, situating the figure within a timeless and symbolic realm. Through this tension between physical presence and metaphysical meaning, Shekinah opens a contemplative space on how the invisible may be represented. The work invites the viewer to encounter the silent knowledge embedded within symbols.
