Creating a Series

Creating a Spotlight series is your chance to tell a story — not just share images. Each series must include at least 4 artworks, but there’s no maximum limit. What matters is cohesion: your works should feel connected, whether by theme, medium, mood, or concept. Once your profile is complete, you can submit your series directly — no approval or third party needed. After submission, your series will appear on the Coming Soon page, giving you the opportunity to build early support by sharing it with your circle. You can also update your series at any time before or during your Spotlight week. Think of it as your own mini-exhibition — one that lives, breathes, and evolves with your audience.

Spotlight Leaderboard

The Spotlight Leaderboard is where visibility meets momentum. During each Spotlight week, submitted series can receive votes from the community. The leaderboard updates regularly throughout the week and reflects a mix of votes, engagement, and timing. Artists who rise to the top may be featured across Monkspace — including on the homepage, in newsletters, and on social media. While we don’t reveal the exact algorithm (to keep the process fair and organic), one thing is clear: consistent sharing, early support, and meaningful connection make a difference. The leaderboard isn’t just a ranking — it’s a reflection of how your art is resonating.

Your first Spotlight is completely free — no fees, no catches. It’s our way of saying: your voice matters, and it deserves a stage.

As you grow your audience and engage your community, you’ll unlock more free Spotlight credits over time. The more you show up and share your work, the more opportunities you’ll have to shine again — without needing to pay.
