The artwork is an abstract interpretation of the artist’s commentary on personalities. It reflects the personas and masks worn by individuals, born out of internal conflict. All the different people and personalities, the clashes, and the deeply rooted emotions are depicted as a visual symbol.
Mona carries the meaning of an unattainable desire and gives its name to the piece. Within the painting dwell all the personalities a person has reached, dreamed of, failed to attain, become, or failed to become.

I’m Selma Nur, an artist from İzmir, and my work is focused on exploring the depths of the human soul and individual perceptions through painting. Currently studying Fine Arts at Ege University, I aim to convey empathy and diverse perspectives in my creations. Using color and form, I guide the viewer on an emotional journey, touching on both social and psychological themes. Each piece reflects my personal experiences and inner world, providing a meaningful connection for the audience. For me, art is a way to express personal awareness and empathy in a powerful, authentic way. I’m dedicated to creating unique and relaxed pieces every day, always striving to grow as an artist.
