Fahrenheit 451

  • 75 cm x 75 cm x 2 cm
Original concept and hand-drawn by me. ✍️🥰🥰 This is a large-scale charcoal piece (75x75 cm) based on a unique idea I had about the book 📕 Fahrenheit 451. 🤭 In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, firemen don’t put out fires; they start them to burn books and the ideas inside them. My artwork takes this dystopian reality to the dinner table. I came up with the idea of placing the burnt, charred book on a dinner plate, served with a fork and spoon. It’s my visual take on how society "consumes" and destroys knowledge. We no longer digest knowledge to grow; we consume the destruction of ideas as if it were a daily meal. The charcoal medium represents the aftermath of the fire the soot and ash left behind by a society that forgot how to read. It’s not just a drawing; it’s a personal artistic statement on censorship. And I am proud of myself for trying to create a meaningful art. ***The Hidden Detail: Flaming Cutlery 🔥🍴*** If you look closely at the fork and spoon handles, they aren't just decorated they are shaped like rising 🔥 I designed them this way to show that even the tools we use to "consume" knowledge are part of the fire. The entire meal is a ritual of destruction. Details: • Original Art: Both the idea and the drawing are mine. • Size: paper size: 75x75 cm. • Medium: Charcoal on paper. •
