Manifesto: The Search for a Shoulder to Lean on
Bodies are silent, souls speak.
This work was born in a void where words end and emotions echo screamingly. “The Search for a Shoulder to Lean on” is the embodiment of loneliness. Figures without faces exist only by leaning on a shoulder, because a person is most complete in another person.
Every line is a trace of contact.
Every color is a memory that seeps from the depths of the soul.
The lines that extend like red veins indicate the pain of the past and the silent burden of memories. The faces are vague because pain and intimacy have no identity; they belong to everyone.
This is a longing.
A longing for the shoulders of childhood, the breath of the mother, the silence of friendship, the security of love. Colors and bodies are only the carriers of this longing and the lament of those who cannot shout.
Art is a refuge here.
A balm for wounded souls, a map for the lost. Anyone who looks at this painting whispers their own story into your ear, because sometimes all you need is a shoulder to lean on.

About the Artist
Birsen Çakar, 26 Ocak 1997'de Osmaniye'de doğdu. Trakya Üniversitesi'nden sanat eğitimi bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra, kendi özgün anlatım tarzını geliştirerek sanatsal yolculuğuna devam etti.
Onun için sanat sadece estetik bir arayış değil, aynı zamanda insan ruhunun sessiz ve samimi bir keşfidir. Eserlerinde genellikle yüzleri bulanık ve kimlikleri belirsiz figürler yer alır. Duyguların, acının, kederin veya özlemin belirli bir kimliği olduğuna inanmadığı için figürlerinin yüzleri bulanık ve kimlikleri belirsizdir. Evrensel duygulara değinmeyi ve herkesin kendini özdeşleştirebileceği ortak bir duygusal dünya yaratmayı amaçlamaktadır.
Çalışmalarında yağlı boya, pastel ve çeşitli diğer teknikleri bir araya getirmeyi seviyor. Ayrıca dijital sanat üretmeye de devam ediyor. Her teknik, aktarmak istediği duyguların farklı bir yönünü ortaya çıkarıyor. Figürlerindeki eller, omuzlar, kucaklamalar ve dokunuşlar, sessizce söylenen cümleler gibidir. Yüzlerin olmaması bir eksiklik değil, izleyicilere kendi hikayelerini yansıtabilecekleri bir alan sağlıyor.
