This work is a cry that has been silenced for a thousand years.
Şahmeran, the queen of the snakes, embodies wisdom and sacrifice.
Half human, half snake...
She bears a secret that lies at the intersection of nature and intellect.
But every secret is destined to be betrayed one day.
Sometimes she is described as a woman, at other times as a man.
But I heard the story from my elders as a man.
And so, this legend, whispered from ear to ear, has reached me in this form.
It is a lament that tells of how trust turns into betrayal.
how innocence is boiled in cauldrons,
and how truth is written in blood.
In Şahmeran’s eyes lies wisdom.
on her skin is the texture of nature;
In her tail lies the wisdom of ages.
This is not merely a depiction of Şahmeran.
It is a reckoning for humanity.
The cauldrons in this drawing do not contain just a body,
It is a lost balance, a forgotten morality and a secret that has been consumed.

About the Artist
Birsen Çakar was born on January 26, 1997, in Osmaniye. After graduating from Trakya University with a degree in art education, she continued her artistic journey by developing her own unique narrative style.
To her, art is not just an aesthetic pursuit, but also a silent and sincere exploration of the human soul. Her works often feature figures with blurred faces and undefined identities. She does not believe that emotions, pain, grief, or longing have a specific identity, which is why her figures have blurred faces and undefined identities. She aims to touch on universal emotions and create a shared emotional world with which everyone can identify.
She enjoys combining oil paint, pastel, and various other techniques in her work. She also continues to produce digital art. Each technique reveals a different aspect of the emotion she wants to convey. The hands, shoulders, embraces, and touches in her figures are like silently spoken sentences. The absence of faces is not a deficiency, but rather provides viewers with a space to project their own stories.

Birsen Çakar, 26 Ocak 1997'de Osmaniye'de doğdu. Trakya Üniversitesi'nden sanat eğitimi bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra, kendi özgün anlatım tarzını geliştirerek sanatsal yolculuğuna devam etti.
Onun için sanat sadece estetik bir arayış değil, aynı zamanda insan ruhunun sessiz ve samimi bir keşfidir. Eserlerinde genellikle yüzleri bulanık ve kimlikleri belirsiz figürler yer alır. Duyguların, acının, kederin veya özlemin belirli bir kimliği olduğuna inanmadığı için figürlerinin yüzleri bulanık ve kimlikleri belirsizdir.
