“Kafalar” is a visual map of the mind and its overlapping voices.
The vertical linoleum textures evoke the dense rhythm of a crowd—an environment where thoughts, faces, and emotions brush against one another. The ink-drawn faces appear like fragments of inner dialogue, each carrying a subtle expression of memory, tension, or quiet observation.
The bold, flowing black line cuts through the composition like a wandering thought, shifting direction as it moves through mental clutter. Color traces softly break the monochrome field, reflecting emotional impulses that rise and fade within the noise.
This work invites the viewer to witness a moment where many inner selves speak at once, revealing the layered architecture of a single mind.

About the Artist
Yelda İnecik, insan duygularını, belleği ve yalnızlık kavramını merkeze alan çalışmalarıyla tanınır. Sanat pratiği, suluboyanın akışkan yapısıyla başlayıp zamanla linol baskı ve karışık tekniklere evrilmiştir. Dokular, onun için yalnızca biçim değil; duyguların yüzeye çıkma şeklidir.
Renkler çalışmalarında önemli bir yer tutar. Genellikle canlı ve enerjik tonlar kullanmasına rağmen, figürlerinde çoğu zaman hüzünlü bir ifade görülür. Bu zıtlık, sanatçının insan ruhunun çok katmanlı yapısını araştırma biçimidir. İsmet Özel’in şiirinden ilhamla ürettiği Kuşun Ölümü adlı eseri, şiirsel imgelerin görsel dile dönüşümünü örnekler.
