About the Artist

Born in 1982 in Adana, she graduated from Mustafa Kemal University, Fine Arts Department, Painting-Work Education program in 2014. She works as a visual arts teacher under the Ministry. She has held four solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions across the country. Additionally, she has created paintings for book and magazine covers. Her works focus on the human figure. She constructs her compositions around the interactions between humans and other living beings, society, the world, and their own inner processes—in short, everything with which they engage. In addition to symbolic concepts, her figures sometimes merge with lines, sometimes with colors. Her recent works revolve around the theme of uncertainty, inspired by the idea that “gray kills a person.” In these pieces, every thought related to this concept symbolically accompanies the figures. She highlights the subject and the figures through the power of line and the minimal use of color.
